Throughout November our team have come together to support Wakefield Street Kitchen a charitable organisation based in Wakefield offering food, clothing and support to the homeless and all those in need in and around the West Yorkshire cathedral city. The dedicated volunteers at WSK run a food bank and a ‘meals on wheels’ service where hot, nutritious meals are delivered to local people. Our little elves at Crompton Controls have been busy donating food, warm clothing, toiletries, and gifts and yesterday Paul in our despatch department helped send them on their way. At Crompton Controls we are committed to Nett-Zero Sustainability and as part of the programme we are proud to announce that our current vehicle fleet consists 100% of Electric Vehicles. The decision to go fully electric was set in motion two years ago, but now our last diesel car has left the fleet we can proudly announce this achievement. Last Friday a group of our most long serving team members spent a very enjoyable evening together at the Company’s 25 Year Club Celebration. It was a truly special occasion filled with memories, comradeship and joy and so lovely to see such loyal, committed and experienced people in the same room celebrating each other’s exceptional service and fantastic joint achievements. In a superb venue with a fabulous meal too! All of our staff make a valued contribution to our business and we very much look forward to seeing more around our 25 Year Club table in the future.
